Postpartum doulas help families transition during the postpartum period as well as nurturing the family. A Doula focus is on fostering independence for the entire family and does not only care for the baby like a baby nurse. The Doula is there to empower and advocate for each families unique experiences.
The first 40 days after having a baby is such a crucial, sacred, and special time. It's a time for new moms to rest, recover, and focus on breastfeeding. Also known as the 4th trimester because it is the final part of the birthing experience. This period is marked in numerous cultures, and not just in traditional societies: six-week check up in the UK, US or Canada.
I will provide any kind of help that is in my practice as your postpartum doula.
Taking care of the baby while you nap, helping you with the feeding, guide you with the new skills you are practicing like changing a diaper, bathing, reaching out to your community to organize a meal train, being there if you need emotional or physical support, I can run some errands, do light housekeeping, and cook lights meals.
I’m here for you during your whole four trimester, you can reach out to me by text, call, email anytime.
